Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Handle (ranked 1786 p4p, 228 weight class) and Andre Haack (ranked 1436 p4p, 191 weight class). Handle comes to the cage accompanied by Right On. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Handle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Andre Haack!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Haack.
Handle avoids the head kick by Haack.

Handle gets a clinch.
Handle is trying to maintain a safe position but Haack gets an underhook and turns Handle into the cage.
Haack lands a right hand that snaps the head of Handle backwards.
We've been informed that Haack has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A short uppercut from Haack.

Haack breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Handle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Haack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Handle somewhat.
Haack only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Handle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Haack as he avoids it easily.
Handle throws an overhand right that lands on Haack's shoulder, as Haack tries to avoid the shot.
Andre Haack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Handle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Haack.
Haack cracks Handle with a good jab.
Handle has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Haack. Handle shrugs it off though.
Haack lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Haack feints and then cracks Handle's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Handle down.
A nice inside leg kick there by Haack. That's going to slow Handle down.

Handle tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Haack counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Haack fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Handle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haack scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Nice jab there from Haack.
Handle misses with a takedown attempt - Haack sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Handle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Handle jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Handle has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Haack.
Handle throws a nice looking combination but Haack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Handle misses with the combination.
Haack keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Handle throws a series of punches but Haack avoids them all with ease.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haack goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Haack fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Haack tests Handle's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Handle is rocked!
Haack plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Oh Handle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Haack lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Handle falls backwards - clearly groggy! Haack dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andre Haack!
During a confident post fight interview, Andre Haack thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
