Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toktogulovich Bakiyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chinggis Khaan!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Khaan 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Khaan rushes Bakiyev and presses him up against the cage.
Khaan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bakiyev smiles and moves away.
Nice shot by Bakiyev.
Bakiyev scores with the left hand. Khaan knows he should have avoided that one.
Bakiyev keeps the fight on the outside.

Khaan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bakiyev!
Khaan misses with the ground and pound.
Bakiyev is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Khaan asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Bakiyev sneaks out the side door and pushes Khaan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bakiyev swats away the attempt to clinch by Khaan.
It looked like Bakiyev was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Khaan.
Khaan misses with a looping left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khaan avoids the body shot from Bakiyev.
Khaan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Khaan is looking to clinch.
Bakiyev is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Khaan.
Khaan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Khaan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bakiyev avoids it really well and circles away.
Khaan takes a jab right on the kisser.
Khaan throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Bakiyev's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Khaan dives in looking to finish as Bakiyev flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Khaan's strikes! Khaan is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Bakiyev's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Bakiyev was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chinggis Khaan!
After the fight, Chinggis Khaan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
