Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Harrison (ranked 7758 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haruto Suo (ranked 7415 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Haruto Suo!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suo connects with a body shot.
Harrison is trying hard to land a takedown here. Suo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Suo wants to clinch.
Harrison jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suo.
Sloppy strikes from Suo. Those never looked like landing.
Suo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Harrison feints and as Suo raises his hands in defense, Harrison changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Suo manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Harrison keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Harrison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Suo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Harrison manages to pull guard.
Suo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Harrison's head.

Suo moves into full mount!
Suo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Harrison is looking to escape.

Suo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Harrison to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Harrison shrugs it off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Suo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Harrison hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haruto Suo dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Suo is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Harrison presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Suo wants to take the fight to the mat but Harrison manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Suo is trying to pull guard but Harrison has him pressed against the cage.

Harrison looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Suo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Harrison's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Harrison's back!

Suo working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Suo is trying to stick to Harrison's back but Harrison is turning into Suo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Suo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Harrison.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Suo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harrison controls the pace.
Suo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Suo keeping moving, preventing Harrison from controlling successfully.

Harrison slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Suo is looking to regain half guard here but Harrison keeps moving and retains side control.

Harrison tries for a kimura but Suo is defending well.

Harrison controls the position.
Suo tries to buck Harrison off but Harrison is having none of it.

Harrison thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Suo manages to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Harrison is looking for a kimura but Suo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harrison to get the leverage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Suo has one foot on Harrison's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Suo shoots in but Harrison avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Daniel Harrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haruto Suo.
Suo walks into a left hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Suo throws a leg kick but Harrison sees it coming and moves out of range.

Suo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Haruto Suo will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Suo connects with a body shot that sends Harrison's belly button to the back.
Suo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Harrison sprawls well. Harrison wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Suo gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Harrison or perhaps it was just good defense by Suo, which made it look bad.
A little jabbing left from Suo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Suo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Suo dives in and scores a takedown into Harrison's guard.

Harrison scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harrison misses with a kick to the body.
Harrison looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Suo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Suo misses with a kick to the body.
Harrison throws a right and a left that both miss.
Suo dives in and grabs Harrison's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harrison pushes down on Suo's head and hops out.
Daniel Harrison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haruto Suo.
Suo avoids the head kick by Harrison.
Suo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Harrison is trying hard to land a takedown here. Suo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Suo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Harrison swivels and escapes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Suo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Suo lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Harrison gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Harrison just leaning against Suo, taking a breather.
Harrison has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Suo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Suo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harrison just stands there and leans against the cage.

Harrison gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Suo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Suo is trying to control the action in half guard but Harrison is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Harrison tries to roll over but Suo keeps him under control.
Suo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harrison avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Suo.
Suo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harrison keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Suo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Suo lands a nice short elbow.
Suo is trying to control the action in half guard but Harrison is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Harrison tries to get to full guard but Suo has control of the leg.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Harrison.
I think Suo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
