The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Cuida. No joy for Azhiev on that attempt.
Cuida sizes up Azhiev with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Cuida connects with the punch.
Azhiev fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Azhiev shoots in for a takedown but Cuida shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gray Cuida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anzhor Azhiev.

Cuida keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Azhiev is countered with a crisp right hand from Cuida that sends him to the canvas! Cuida follows him to the mat into side control.
Azhiev is still in real trouble! Can Cuida finish him?

A big shot lands for Cuida! That's hurt Azhiev! Will he recover? Cuida fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Gray Cuida spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
The defeated Anzhor Azhiev had this to say: 'I still want that title shot. Im the most experienced fighter here and everyday wants to see me smash the champ so lets do it whenever he starts ducking me.'.
