PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Beta Knox (ranked 1621 p4p, 166 weight class) and Korean Kimchi (ranked 1323 p4p, 136 weight class). Knox kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Anthrax | Fight Em Till You Can't. Kimchi has chosen BigBang & 2NE1 - Lollipop as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beta Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Korean Kimchi!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimchi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kimchi looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kimchi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Knox moves away.
Knox staying out of range there.
Knox is looking to counter punch.
Kimchi tries to move into range but Knox moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Kimchi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Knox tightens his grip and picks Kimchi up, before dumping him to the ground. Kimchi manages to land in guard.

Kimchi drops back looking for a leg! Knox is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Knox manages to kick Kimchi off! Kimchi jumps back into Knox's guard.

Kimchi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Knox is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kimchi, into his guard.


Kimchi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knox defends it easily.

Knox has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kimchi is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Knox will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've been hearing that Knox has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Beta Knox.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Knox, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In defeat, Korean Kimchi stepped up to the mic, saying 'This fucking blind referee is friends with the fucking biased judges who are both paid by my PED-using opponent's manager. Fuck them and fuck the haters! What are you looking at asshole? Come at me, I'll mash you like potatoes!! Mommy!! They are threatening me! 😭'.
