Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yodsawan Sitsongrit (ranked 3402 p4p, 163 weight class) and Zurab Koshadze (ranked 3761 p4p, 177 weight class). Koshadze has chosen Hungry Like The Wolf as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yodsawan Sitsongrit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zurab Koshadze!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sitsongrit scores with a hook.
Koshadze shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sitsongrit as he avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sitsongrit.
Sitsongrit connects with a good right hand that stumbles Koshadze. Koshadze circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Sitsongrit connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


Koshadze is rocked!
Sitsongrit scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Koshadze is still on wobbly legs! Can Sitsongrit finish him?

Sitsongrit lands a big head kick that sends Koshadze tumbling to the mat! Sitsongrit takes a step backwards and waves Koshadze back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sitsongrit throws a front kick that sends Koshadze stumbling back into the cage.

Koshadze closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sitsongrit to the mat! Sitsongrit manages to get full guard.
Sitsongrit is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Koshadze keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sitsongrit's head.
Sitsongrit wants to stand but Koshadze is controlling the position.
Koshadze seems to have recovered his senses.
Sitsongrit has his hands on Koshadze's head, controlling the position.
Sitsongrit is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Koshadze is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sitsongrit is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sitsongrit has escaped and now he's on top!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koshadze can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sitsongrit showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Koshadze is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sitsongrit is controlling him.
Sitsongrit pushing down on Koshadze's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Sitsongrit slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Sitsongrit fakes the leg kick and cracks Koshadze in the body.
Sitsongrit pushes Koshadze away with a front kick.
Zurab Koshadze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koshadze fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sitsongrit scores with a push kick.
Sitsongrit lands a front kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sitsongrit connects with a solid leg kick.
Koshadze shoots in and drives through. Sitsongrit sprawls well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Yodsawan Sitsongrit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zurab Koshadze.

Sitsongrit lands a big uppercut and Koshadze crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Koshadze looks OK. Sitsongrit waves Koshadze back to his feet!

Koshadze gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sitsongrit counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yodsawan Sitsongrit!
Yodsawan Sitsongrit decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
