The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Neil misses.
Neil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Neil takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lopez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Neil works Lopez's body with a nice hook.
Neil misses with a wild combination.
Neil steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lopez.
Lopez paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Neil bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A head kick misses from Neil.
Lopez throws a hook but Neil blocks it.
Lopez throws a right and a left that Neil avoids nicely.
Neil uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lopez.
Neil misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Neil steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lopez.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neil uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lopez.
Neil has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Lopez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Neil's head backwards.

Vince Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neil takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Neil lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Martez Lopez has been cut.
Neil keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lopez throws a shot from downtown. Neil moves away and avoids it.
Lopez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Lopez throws a jab but it's blocked by Neil.
