Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Einar Magn (ranked 3868 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Shield (ranked 4124 p4p, 0 weight class). Magn's entrance music is Pantera-5 Minutes Alone. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shield is looking to land body kicks.
Magn's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shield under the eye.

Magn catches Shield napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Shield to the canvas!

Shield is rocked!
Magn wants to stand but Shield has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Shield is still in real trouble! Can Magn finish him?
Magn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Shield seems to have recovered his senses.
Shield wants to sweep but no luck.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Magn slips nicely into half guard.
Magn stops Shield from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Magn performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Magn frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Magn controlling the pace for now.
Magn's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Magn manages to capitalize on a mistake by Shield to take his back!

Magn has the hooks in. Shield is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shield is trying to stand back up.
Magn really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Shield.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shield trying to control the position but Magn manages to sink in the hooks.

Shield tries to escape the position.
Magn controlling the position well here. Shield rolled but Magn kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Magn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Shield is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Magn off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Shield just trying to survive but Magn is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Magn.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Einar Magn dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Magn jabs Shield right on the nose. Shield blinks but takes it well.
Magn scores with a nice strike.
Magn ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Shield's jaw. Shield's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Magn does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
