The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rose changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dos Santos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rose is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dos Santos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rose has hold of Dos Santos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dos Santos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rose goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dos Santos turns into him and now he's in Rose's guard.

Dos Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rose swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's time! Dos Santos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rose will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rose dives in for a single leg takedown but Dos Santos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Rose isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dos Santos stacks Rose on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dos Santos!

That was a close second round but I would say that Cicero Dos Santos will probably get the nod.
