PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Roberto Williams (ranked 5319 p4p, 174 weight class) and Loa Kobula (ranked 22813 p4p, 208 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Williams might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to HERNIA banda. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Loa Kobula!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobula slips under a jab.
Williams connects with a body shot that sends Kobula's belly button to the back.
Williams throws a good cross that connects.
Kobula throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Loa Kobula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kobula looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Williams is looking to counter the offense by Kobula and move into the clinch.
Kobula misses with a head kick.
Williams lands with a kick to the temple. Kobula shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Loa Kobula has been cut.

Williams lands a head kick that bluckles Kobula and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Williams no doubt looking to push for a finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams works the jab nicely.

That has opened up Loa Kobula's cut even more.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kobula.
Kobula tries a head kick but it misses.
Kobula jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Williams scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Kobula has closed the distance and engaged Williams in a clinch.
Williams lands a nice uppercut.
Williams lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kobula tries to stall but Williams uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Roberto Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kobula ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
Williams with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Kobula looks winded!

Williams catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Kobula stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Kobula walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

The cut above Loa Kobula's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Williams throws a good cross that connects.
Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Williams lands with a kick to the ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Williams tries a head kick but it misses.
Williams fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Williams lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Kobula crumples to the floor! Williams milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
