The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton slips under a jab.
Newton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Antoine.
Newton wants to clinch up but Antoine keeps it at a distance.
Antoine takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Carter Antoine has been cut.
Newton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Antoine.
Antoine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Newton tests Antoine's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Newton counters with a straight right hand.
Antoine rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Newton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It looks like Eddie Newton has been cut.
Antoine fails to land with a series of punches.
Antoine bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Newton's head backwards.

Antoine throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Newton tries to clinch up but Antoine circles away and keeps his distance.
Antoine defending well as Newton loads up on a big left hand.
Antoine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Newton manages to avoid it.
Antoine scores with a hook.
Antoine missing with a left hand there. Newton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Antoine throws a body shot but no joy.
Antoine misses with a straight right.

Oooooh!!! Newton has knocked Antoine down with a huge combo! Newton steps away and waves a wobbly Antoine back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Antoine is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That has opened up Carter Antoine's cut even more.
Newton drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Antoine's head, knocking him out cold! Newton is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
