Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Holer (ranked 1651 p4p, 214 weight class) and Devin Watkins (ranked 5368 p4p, 490 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Devin Watkins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Holer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Watkins!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holer scores with a body shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Holer.

Watkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Holer circles away quickly and effectively.
Watkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Holer has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Holer changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A jab from Watkins finds it's way through Holer's defenses.
Watkins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Holer avoids it really well and circles away.
A nice combination there by Watkins.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Watkins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Watkins fails in his attempt to clinch.
Watkins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Holer closes the distance and pushes Watkins back into the cage.
Watkins tries to stall but Holer uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Watkins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Holer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jack Holer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watkins shoots in looking for a takedown but Holer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Watkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jack Holer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devin Watkins.
Watkins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Holer lands a body shot.

Holer is looking to slow Watkins down with leg kicks.
Watkins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Holer sizes up Watkins with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Holer drops Watkins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Watkins looks back up at him and smiles so Holer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Watkins is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holer connects with a body shot that sends Watkins's belly button to the back.

BAM! Holer delivers a spinning backfist that drops Watkins like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
