Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Ham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ham avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A left and a right from Ham both land. Nice combination.
Lee wants to clinch but Ham slips to the side

and Ham counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ham controls the pace.
Ham has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee throws a shot to the body.
Lee tries to clinch but Ham is having none of it.

Ham forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.
Ham wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lee has him pressed against the cage.
Lee fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Ham has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lee is trying to keep an underhook but Ham manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Ham uses his free foot to push down on Lee's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lee.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ham lands a nice shot to the head.
Ham cracks Lee with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lee regains half guard.
Lee looks winded!

Ham stands up out of the half guard.

Ham gets the takedown into side control.
Ham controlling the position.
Ham's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Ham passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lee!

Ham breaks from Lee's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ham looking to control and managing it successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ham wants to finish this one by submission but Lee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ham.

Ham throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ham stands up from Lee's guard - Ham perhaps looking for a knockout.

Ham closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ham lands in his opponent's guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ham lands a nice short elbow.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ham landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ham in particular looking to stall.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lee is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ham scores with a couple of nice shots.

Ham postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lee to stand up.

Ham takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Ham.

Ham is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lee sees it coming and defends easily.

Ham winds up and cracks Lee with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Ham wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lee blocks a low kick nicely.
Tyson Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ham closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lee tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Ham manages to move to mount!

Ham working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ham continues to hold on tight.

Ham swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lee is now in Ham's guard. A big mistake from Ham there, giving up the dominant position!
Ham on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ham tries to get out of the position.

Ham seems keen to control Lee's posture.
Ham is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ham looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ham seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.

Ham has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lee defend it? Ham steps over the head and cranks it - Lee is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ham!
