Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Long Herman (ranked 25223 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Johnson (ranked 4180 p4p, 460 weight class). James Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a three punch combo!
Herman throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.

Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Herman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Herman bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Herman is looking to get back to his feet here but Johnson is keeping cool and he's managed to take Herman's back.
Herman is trying to break free.

Herman is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Johnson gets his way!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Johnson gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Johnson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Johnson apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Herman shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Herman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Johnson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Herman, into his guard.

Johnson wants to control from the top but Herman keeps moving.

Herman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Johnson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Herman.

Herman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Johnson wants to take a breather but Herman is having none of it.
Herman is trying to control but can't.
Herman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Johnson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Herman!

Johnson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Herman is on top in guard.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Herman is aware though and is defending well.
Herman wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position.
James Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Herman is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Herman defends it easily.

Herman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Herman lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Herman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Herman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Johnson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Herman sprawls well initially but Johnson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Herman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Long Herman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Herman throws a nice looking combination but Johnson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Johnson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Johnson lands a big head kick that sends Herman tumbling to the mat! Johnson takes a step backwards and waves Herman back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Herman is rocked!

It looks like Long Herman has been cut.

Johnson is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Herman is in big trouble! Johnson is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Herman. Poor guy.
