Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lebron James (ranked 2484 p4p, 261 weight class) and LeRoy Jenkins (ranked 4472 p4p, 158 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lebron James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, LeRoy Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins shoots in for a double leg but James sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
James digs a good body shot into Jenkins's ribs.
Jenkins throws a sloppy head kick and James moves out of range easily.

Jenkins gets tackled into the cage by James. James maintains the clinch.
Jenkins wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
James presses Jenkins against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

James breaks the clinch.
James misses with a two punch combination.

and James counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Lebron James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LeRoy Jenkins.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jenkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jenkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

James wants to pass the guard but Jenkins is keeping the position.

James wants to stand but Jenkins has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. James defends it easily.
James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jenkins controls James momentarily but James frees himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jenkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has James pinned against the cage. James gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
James is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jenkins throws a lazy head kick

and James counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Jenkins is working an open guard so James takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Jenkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jenkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but James circles away quickly and effectively.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

and James counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by James.

James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jenkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but James sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jenkins somewhat.

Jenkins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jenkins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. James gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

James wants the takedown. Jenkins is fighting it off but James persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jenkins's guard against the cage.

James gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jenkins, pushing him back against the cage.

James pushes Jenkins off and scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

James throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jenkins blocks it with crossed arms.

James has Jenkins pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. James pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jenkins tumbling to the mat - James dives into Jenkins's guard.
Jenkins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lebron James dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Jenkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

James closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
James is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jenkins will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

James is trying to work for a kimura but Jenkins is defending well.

James seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jenkins is trying to control James's posture but James avoids it.
Lebron James overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
James takes a little break here. Jenkins wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Jenkins is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
James scores with a couple of short elbows.
James is putting a hurting on Jenkins here, landing some big shots from side control.

James tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Jenkins takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
LeRoy Jenkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Lebron James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
