Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rei Francisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Petr Yaj!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Francisco cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A swing and a miss from Francisco.
Yaj looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Yaj takes the fight into the clinch.
Yaj misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Francisco throws a punch but it's blocked by Yaj.
Yaj pushes Francisco back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Yaj swings wildly with an uppercut but Francisco uses good head movement to avoid it.
Francisco lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Yaj manages to break the clinch.
Francisco darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Yaj looks to land a combination but Francisco avoids it well.
Yaj moves forwards but Francisco connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Yaj wants to clinch up but Francisco keeps it at a distance.

Francisco is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Francisco looks to land a left hand but Yaj moved out of range nicely.

No joy there for Francisco, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yaj closes the distance looking to clinch
and Francisco counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Yaj moves into the clinch.
Yaj tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Francisco's elbow.
Yaj misses with some punches.
Yaj gets through Francisco's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Francisco breaks from the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Francisco misses the target.
Yaj looks to land a right hand but Francisco moved out of range.
Francisco looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Yaj wants to clinch
and Francisco counters with a nice uppercut.

Yaj cracks Francisco with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Yaj has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Francisco to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yaj takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Petr Yaj seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Francisco bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Francisco drops his hands momentarily and Yaj takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Yaj takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Francisco throws the left hand but Yaj avoids the punch easily.
Yaj throws a sloppy body shot
and Francisco connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Francisco is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Yaj staying out of range there.

Francisco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yaj moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Francisco wants to clinch.
Francisco uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yaj.
Francisco appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Francisco throws a shot from downtown. Yaj moves away and avoids it.

Yaj drives through and clinches with Francisco against the cage.
Francisco is trying to break the clinch but Yaj has him pressed against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Yaj.

Francisco tries a body shot but Yaj blocks it.
Yaj lands a right hand that snaps the head of Francisco backwards.

Francisco doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Francisco misses with a punch to the body.
Francisco tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Yaj lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Yaj tries to work over Francisco's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Francisco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yaj tries to close the distance and clinch up but Francisco swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A looping hook to the body misses from Yaj. Francisco does a little dance to reset his feet.
Yaj tries for a takedown but Francisco circles away easily
and Francisco counters with a left and a right that stings Yaj.
Yaj closes the distance looking to clinch
and Francisco counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Yaj darts in trying to clinch
and Francisco counters with a stiff right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Petr Yaj will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Rei Francisco's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Oh Francisco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yaj dips a shoulder and cracks Francisco with a mighty uppercut! Francisco falls back against the cage and Yaj unloads with a barrage of strikes! Francisco is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Yaj screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Petr Yaj!
