Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rosario Fusco (ranked 3230 p4p, 334 weight class) and Cain Diaz (ranked 2362 p4p, 245 weight class). Rosario Fusco could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cain Diaz's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cain Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Diaz gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fusco misses with a left hand
and Diaz counters with a right hand to the body.
Diaz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fusco is looking to counter punch.

Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fusco finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head.

Diaz thuds his right hand into Fusco's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

and Fusco counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Fusco swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Fusco swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close round but I would say that Rosario Fusco will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fusco feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Diaz sprawling to the canvas! Diaz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fusco finish him?!
Fusco is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Rosario Fusco has been cut.

and Fusco counters with a nice right hand that sends Diaz toppling to the canvas! Diaz scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Fusco finish him?!
Diaz is rocked!
It looks like Cain Diaz has been cut.
Diaz switches off momentarily and Fusco cracks him with a monster right hand! Diaz topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Fusco dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Fusco!
