The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kurita clinches up with Anderson and pushes him back against the cage.
Anderson leaning his opponent against the cage.
Kurita throws a head punch that misses.
Anderson can't find room to land a body shot as Kurita controls the action.
Anderson misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kurita backwards.
Kurita is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.
Anderson is leaning against Kurita and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Anderson misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kurita tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Anderson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Kurita prevents a body shot from Anderson.

Anderson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kurita wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Anderson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Anderson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kurita looking to sit in guard and control but Anderson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Anderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Kurita wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Anderson controls from within his opponent's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Anderson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Anderson lands with a left to the head.
Kurita is trying to pull guard but Anderson has him pressed against the cage.

Anderson tests Kurita's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Kurita is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anderson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Kurita up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Anderson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Kurita's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Damian Anderson!
An out of breath Damian Anderson thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Minobu Kurita stepped up to the mic, saying 'Sayonara'.
