Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dimitri Aristova (ranked 2738 p4p, 135 weight class) and Mateusz Biernat (ranked 4166 p4p, 191 weight class). Biernat has chosen Someday as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biernat throws a sloppy head kick and Aristova moves out of range easily.

Biernat closes the distance and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Aristova fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Biernat sprawls well initially but Aristova persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Aristova has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Aristova is pushing down on Biernat's leg trying to pass to half guard. Biernat is fighting to maintain full guard but Aristova has managed to sneak the leg through.
Aristova stalling away here and it's allowed Biernat to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Biernat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Aristova is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Biernat is just riding it out for now. Aristova eventually gives up the hold.

Aristova looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Biernat is fending him off so far but Aristova persists. Nope, Biernat circles away and we're back to standing.

Aristova darts in looking for a takedown but Biernat gets double underhooks and turns Aristova into the cage.
Whack! Biernat lands a heavy head kick that drops Aristova. The ref tackles Biernat to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Aristova was done.

A pretty intense looking Mateusz Biernat took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
