Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Buakaw Singha (ranked 3593 p4p, 398 weight class) and Cormac McCarthy (ranked 1845 p4p, 224 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singha looks to land a left hand but McCarthy moved out of range nicely.
McCarthy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Singha motions for McCarthy to come forward. Singha throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Singha lunges at McCarthy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McCarthy's hand.

and McCarthy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and McCarthy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Singha thinking.
Buakaw Singha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McCarthy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McCarthy connects with a body shot that sends Singha's belly button to the back.
McCarthy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Singha. McCarthy does a little dance to reset his feet.

McCarthy walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Singha fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops McCarthy to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! McCarthy looks to clinch but Singha throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! McCarthy taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
