Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boa Link (ranked 23271 p4p, 747 weight class) and Alberto El Parton (ranked 22714 p4p, 752 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Link might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Peak Times by Switch. El Parton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Licensed Tequila kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Boa Link had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Link pulls out of a head kick attempt.
El Parton unleashes a big counter combination but Link bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Link connects with a solid leg kick.
El Parton shoots in for a takedown but Link shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Link. That's going to slow El Parton down.
We've been told by Link's head coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

El Parton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Link has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, El Parton has managed to get both his arms back between Link's legs - danger averted.

Link escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. El Parton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Link.
