The crowd seem to be enjoying Newton's choice of entrance music: Superman. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Venczel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Newton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Newton throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Newton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Venczel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Venczel tries to counter with a takedown but Newton is quick to defend against it.
