The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Carvalho does no damage.
Holmes Jr thumps Carvalho with a low kick.

Holmes Jr clinches up with Carvalho and pushes him back against the cage.

Carvalho pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Holmes Jr throws a nice outside leg kick.

Carvalho lands a glancing blow to the side of Holmes Jr's head.
Carvalho attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Carvalho needs to keep his hands up - Holmes Jr had a free shot at his head there.

Holmes Jr tried to score with a low kick but Carvalho checks it.

Drew Carvalho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Carvalho throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Holmes Jr sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carvalho turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Holmes Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Carvalho shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Drew Carvalho has been cut.
Holmes Jr lands a jab to Carvalho's midsection.
Carvalho looks up at the clock. Bad move! Holmes Jr lands a right hand from hell, dropping Carvalho. Holmes Jr pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

During a confident post fight interview, Mike Holmes Jr thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
