Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julz Asug (ranked 3890 p4p, 184 weight class) and Jimmy Duncan (ranked 6182 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julz Asug!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Duncan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asug tries to clinch but Duncan is having none of it.
Asug tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Duncan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Duncan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Duncan pressing his opponent against the cage.
Asug has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Duncan after a bit of a struggle.

Duncan jumps guard and drags Asug to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Duncan pulls Asug in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Asug preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Asug wants to stand but Duncan is controlling his posture from full guard.

Duncan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Asug doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Asug manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Asug has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Asug stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Duncan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Asug stops Duncan from standing up.
Duncan wants to sweep here but Asug controlling him for the moment.
Duncan scores with a short punch from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Duncan is on top in guard.

Asug can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Duncan controls the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Asug looking for subs off his back but Duncan has passed one foot through into half guard.

Duncan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Asug has managed to free his arm - good work.
Asug is looking for a sweep. Duncan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Duncan working over Asug with some ground and pound. Asug looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Duncan controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Duncan slips a nice elbow through Asug's hands, connecting with Asug's forehead.
Duncan is controlling the pace.
Duncan works his way into full mount!
Duncan controlling the pace for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Duncan looking to finish Asug with some ground and pound. This is bad for Asug!
Duncan controlling the position easily from mount.
Duncan in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Duncan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Asug is in a horrible position here. Duncan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Duncan takes the fight into the clinch.
Duncan on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Duncan wants the takedown. Asug is fighting it off but Duncan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Asug's guard against the cage.
Asug is wriggling around but Duncan manages to pass to half guard.

Duncan passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Asug!
Jimmy Duncan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Duncan controlling his opponent.

Asug tries to improve his position but instead Duncan has taken his back!
Duncan is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Duncan has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Asug! Can he survive? No! He's out! Duncan gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jimmy Duncan!
