Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Becak Lawu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Babacar Ziwawe!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ziwawe shoots in for a takedown but Lawu shows good takedown defense.
Ziwawe connects with a high kick.
Babacar Ziwawe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ziwawe goes for a double leg but Lawu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lawu continues to drive forward.
Ziwawe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ziwawe pushes Lawu up against the cage in a clinch.
Lawu prevents the takedown attempt.
Becak Lawu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Babacar Ziwawe.

Ziwawe is trying to maintain a safe position but Lawu gets an underhook and turns Ziwawe into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lawu jumps into guard, dragging Ziwawe to the mat.
Ziwawe stands and throws Lawu's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lawu is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ziwawe asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lawu bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Ziwawe lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Ziwawe moves in looking to clinch but Lawu pushes him off.
Ziwawe tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lawu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ziwawe somewhat.
It looked like Lawu was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Ziwawe misses with a takedown attempt
and Lawu counters with a series of strikes. Ziwawe will be more careful next time no doubt.
Ziwawe tries to clinch there but Lawu circles away.

and Lawu counters with a crisp one two that drops Ziwawe! Lawu thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ziwawe to his feet! Ziwawe is in big trouble!

Ziwawe tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lawu defends well and Ziwawe ends up having to push Lawu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like Lawu was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Ziwawe seems to have recovered his senses.
Ziwawe throws a right hand that Lawu ducks under and follows up with a left that Lawu also avoids with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown attempt by Ziwawe or perhaps it was just good defense by Lawu, which made it look bad.
Lawu seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ziwawe closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lawu counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Ziwawe! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
