Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Howard McCormick (ranked 23835 p4p, 0 weight class) and Basket Case (ranked 4977 p4p, 0 weight class). Basket Case will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Howard McCormick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Basket Case!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCormick clinches with his opponent.
McCormick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Case keeps the fight on the outside.
It seemed like Case was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
McCormick bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Case looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
You can see the frustration on Case's face as McCormick controls the position.
McCormick lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The referee asks McCormick politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. McCormick prefers to stall for the moment though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Case is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Case prevents McCormick from moving into mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCormick controls the position from side control.
McCormick decides to stand up, so the ref orders Case to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McCormick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Case scores with a jab to the body.
Basket Case seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Case gets tackled into the cage by McCormick. McCormick maintains the clinch.
Case works on McCormick's body with a couple of short punches.
Case lands a right hand.
Still in the clinch, Case scores with a nice short uppercut.
McCormick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Case scores with a hook to the body.
Case pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Case lands a slapping body shot.
Case lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Case fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches McCormick on the side of the head.
McCormick is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Case lands a jab to the nose.
Oh McCormick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Case circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends McCormick tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Case wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Basket Case!
A relieved looking Basket Case thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
