PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 363 p4p, 33 weight class) and Tee Nah (ranked 942 p4p, 100 weight class). Tee Nah told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nah with a jab.

It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
The fighters circling - Nah throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nah ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burgundy moves away.
Burgundy with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Burgundy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

It looks like Tee Nah has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Burgundy misses the target.
Nah misses with a head kick.
Burgundy misses with a hook. Nah ducked under it nicely.
Burgundy connects with a body shot.
Burgundy moves out of range as Nah throws a body kick.
Nah loads up on a big right hand but Burgundy slips the punch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Burgundy!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Burgundy cracks a nice hook into Nah's ribs.
Nah stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Burgundy.

Nah forces Burgundy back against the cage and clinches.
Burgundy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Burgundy digs a right hand into Nah's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Nah's gas tank.

Burgundy working aggressively here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Burgundy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Nah.
Nah on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Burgundy. Burgundy obviously looking to wear him down.

Burgundy throws out a loose jab but Nah uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nah will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nah takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Burgundy connects with a single shot there.
Burgundy gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A punch combination from Burgundy misses.
Nah drops his hands momentarily and Burgundy takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burgundy lands a glancing blow to the side of Nah's head.

That has opened up Tee Nah's cut even more.
Burgundy lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Burgundy misses with a wild combination.
Burgundy misses with a low kick.
Burgundy throws a solid leg kick but Nah takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Burgundy.
Nah cracks Burgundy with an open hand slap.
Nah scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Are you kidding me?! Nah ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Burgundy clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
