Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lew Rockwell (ranked 2886 p4p, 333 weight class) and Grisha Kamenov (ranked 2103 p4p, 253 weight class). Rockwell's entrance music is Like a Rock. A fine choice. Kamenov comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Linkin Park - Bleed It Out kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lew Rockwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 3, fighting out of New York, Grisha Kamenov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kamenov instigates a clinch.

Rockwell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kamenov walks away with a smile on his face. Rockwell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Grisha Kamenov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kamenov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rockwell is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kamenov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Rockwell misses with a body punch
and Kamenov counters with a three punch combo that has Rockwell backing up. Rockwell nods at Kamenov to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kamenov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Rockwell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kamenov is looking for a triangle but Rockwell pushes his legs off easily.

Kamenov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rockwell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kamenov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rockwell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rockwell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kamenov has his foot on Rockwell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rockwell works his way back into a safe position though.

Kamenov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rockwell defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kamenov wants to sweep here but Rockwell controlling him for the moment.
Kamenov can't keep his opponent in guard - Rockwell advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rockwell wants to free his trapped foot but Kamenov is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Kamenov bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Kamenov wants to get up but he can't break Rockwell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kamenov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rockwell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kamenov has managed to get both his arms back between Rockwell's legs - danger averted.

Rockwell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kamenov defends it easily.

Kamenov unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Rockwell! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Kamenov is unloading with more strikes now! Rockwell drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
