Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dohn Jodson (ranked 1062 p4p, 53 weight class) and Felix Rodrigo (ranked 1921 p4p, 94 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Felix Rodrigo !
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jodson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rodrigo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It looked like Jodson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Jodson counters with a stiff right hand.

Jodson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jodson wants it to stay on the feet.

Rodrigo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jodson avoids it really well and circles away.

Rodrigo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jodson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rodrigo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rodrigo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jodson regains half guard, as Rodrigo was trying to land strikes.
Jodson wants to improve his position but Rodrigo is controlling well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jodson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rodrigo is working away from the top position though.
Rodrigo wants to control but Jodson is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodrigo wants to pass the guard but Jodson is defending well.

Rodrigo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jodson defends it well.
Rodrigo wants to control but Jodson is keeping him busy.

Rodrigo wants to work for an arm triangle but Jodson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rodrigo wants to pass to mount but Jodson is defending the position.
Rodrigo thows a huge punch but Jodson dodges it nicely.
Rodrigo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rodrigo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jodson dives on top into guard.

Rodrigo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rodrigo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jodson is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Rodrigo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jodson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jodson's back!

A close round but Felix Rodrigo will probably get the nod.

Rodrigo shoots in looking for a takedown but Jodson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rodrigo 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Rodrigo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jodson moves into full guard.
Jodson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rodrigo 's guard.

Rodrigo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jodson defends well.

Rodrigo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jodson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rodrigo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jodson uses it to pass to side control.
Rodrigo is trying to get back to half guard.

Jodson slaps away a takedown attempt from Rodrigo , before circling back to the center of the mat.

Rodrigo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Jodson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Jodson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Felix Rodrigo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigo is breathing heavily.
Rodrigo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jodson tries to avoid it but Rodrigo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jodson to the ground. Jodson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jodson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rodrigo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Jodson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jodson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rodrigo .
Jodson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Rodrigo is rocked!

Jodson cracks Rodrigo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jodson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rodrigo to stand back up!
Rodrigo is still on wobbly legs! Can Jodson finish him?
Rodrigo bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Jodson comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Rodrigo falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Rodrigo was out before he hit the floor!
