Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Khuchtei Bokhchuud (ranked 7608 p4p, 321 weight class) and Yamato Ishii (ranked 24734 p4p, 361 weight class). Yamato Ishii has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Khuchtei Bokhchuud's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khuchtei Bokhchuud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yamato Ishii!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bokhchuud shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ishii napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Bokhchuud controls the position.
Bokhchuud seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ishii for as long as he can get away with.
Bokhchuud grinds an elbow into Ishii's temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bokhchuud tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Bokhchuud lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ishii down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bokhchuud tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bokhchuud has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Ishii's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ishii's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bokhchuud has hold of one of Ishii's legs. Ishii is fighting the takedown attempt but Bokhchuud gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ishii throws a nice looking combination but Bokhchuud bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bokhchuud's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bokhchuud shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ishii's guard.

Ishii wants to stand and escape but Bokhchuud is having none of it.

Khuchtei Bokhchuud overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bokhchuud, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
