The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Okay.
Herman stuffs the takedown attempt from Okay. Okay gets slowly back to his feet.
Okay shoots and misses
and Herman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Hmmm Okay has been cut.
Vicente Herman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hmmm Okay.
Okay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Herman throws a big counter combination but Okay scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Okay shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Herman as he avoids it easily.
It looked like Herman was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Okay trying to control but Herman is working from the bottom.
Okay passes Herman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Herman tries to get to full guard but Okay has control of the leg.

Okay throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Okay takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Herman is looking to control Okay's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Herman avoid being mounted?
Okay throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Okay seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Herman is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Okay jumps into side control!

Okay tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Okay has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Herman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Okay on the ground.
Okay wants to lay and pray for a moment but Herman keeps working.

Okay working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Okay laying and praying for a moment but Herman takes advantage and regains half guard.
Okay works his way into side control.
Okay wants to stand but Herman has his arm trapped.
Herman tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Okay tries to clinch but Herman moves out of range.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Herman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Okay lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Herman keeps the fight on the outside.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Okay.
Herman feinted with a counter takedown.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Okay is trying hard to land a takedown here. Herman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Okay or perhaps it was just good defense by Herman, which made it look bad.

Okay tries a head kick but it misses.
Herman swats away the attempt to clinch by Okay.
Hmmm Okay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Okay misses with a jab, cross combination.
Herman appears to be looking for a big counter.
Herman doesn't manage to clinch there - Okay circles away.
Okay takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vicente Herman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Herman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Herman wants it to stay on the feet.

Herman pushes Okay up against the cage in a clinch.
Herman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Okay is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Herman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Herman lands with a hook. Okay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Okay misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vicente Herman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Herman slaps away a takedown attempt from Okay, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Herman clinches with his opponent.
The referee is keeping an eye on Herman - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Herman gets control of Okay's arms and successfully pulls guard. Herman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Okay trying to control but Herman is working from the bottom.

Herman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Okay defends it easily.
Okay has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Herman is proving hard to escape from.
Okay is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Herman is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Okay presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Okay tightens his grip and picks Herman up, before dumping him to the ground. Herman manages to land in guard.

and Herman counters with a left and a right that stings Okay.
Okay dives in for a single leg takedown but Herman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Okay fails with a takedown attempt.
Herman looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Okay tries to close the distance and clinch but Herman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A quick step to the side and Herman tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Herman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Okay takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Herman throws a series of punches but Okay avoids them all with ease.

Okay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Herman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
