The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musaev dives in and scores a takedown into Magomedov's guard.
Musaev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magomedov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Musaev counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Magomedov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Magomedov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Musaev manages to get himself to full guard.

Musaev shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Musaev was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
