Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Al Balawi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Al Balawi is controlling the pace.
Ferizovic is trying to maintain the position but Al Balawi is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Al Balawi is going to stand back up.
Ferizovic tries to get to full guard but Al Balawi has control of the leg.
Ferizovic is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Al Balawi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ferizovic is just riding it out for now. Al Balawi eventually gives up the hold.

Al Balawi tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Al Balawi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Al Balawi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ferizovic wants to control but Al Balawi is keeping busy.
Ferizovic is looking to escape.
Ferizovic is looking for a sweep. Al Balawi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ferizovic wants to get back to full guard but Al Balawi has mounted him!

Al Balawi working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ferizovic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Al Balawi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ferizovic is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ferizovic is desperately trying to improve his position but Al Balawi has a good base and remains in mount.
Al Balawi landing punches.
Al Balawi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Al Balawi looking to finish Ferizovic with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ferizovic!

Al Balawi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ahmed Al Balawi dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Al Balawi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ferizovic back to the cage. Al Balawi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Darko Ferizovic has been cut.
Ferizovic throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Al Balawi counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Ferizovic is rocked!

Al Balawi stands up from Ferizovic's guard - Al Balawi perhaps looking for a knockout.
Oh Ferizovic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ferizovic closes the distance looking to clinch

and Al Balawi counters with a big takedown. That's hurt Ferizovic! Al Balawi smells blood and goes in for the kill. Serveral hard shots later and the ref calls an end to the fight by TKO!
