TWGC 21 (135lbs, D1): Finals - Round 1 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ishiihara Sakuraba (ranked 9148 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaia Ky Jr (ranked 2156 p4p, 261 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Gaia Ky Jr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 5 losses; Ishiihara Sakuraba! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 8 losses; Gaia Ky Jr!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Sakuraba throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ky Jr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sakuraba is in Ky Jr's guard.

Sakuraba slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gaia Ky Jr spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
