Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Senon Chavez (ranked 8893 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Max (ranked 21831 p4p, 643 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Senon Chavez! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 6 losses; Karl Max!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Max circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chavez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Max shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chavez sprawls well. Chavez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Max gets slowly back to his feet.
Chavez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Max sprawls and moves away.
Chavez feints and as Max raises his hands in defense, Chavez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chavez (2) vs (0) Max
Chavez has gone for a leg lock! Max slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chavez's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Chavez (2) vs (2) Max
Chavez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Max stacks Chavez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Max! Score +3 for passing guard: Chavez (2) vs (5) Max
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chavez tries to buck Max off but Max is having none of it.
Max tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chavez's legs.
Chavez is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Max working away.
Max trying to control the action but Chavez is working from the bottom.
Max wants to take a breather but Chavez manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Max.

Chavez trying to keep a closed guard but Max is proving a slippery customer.
Chavez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Max on the ground.
Chavez is looking for a triangle but Max pushes his legs off easily.
Chavez working for submissions but it's allowed Max to get to half guard.
Chavez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Max is working away from the top position though.

Max looking to control but Chavez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Max wants to take Chavez's back but he can't do it this time.

Chavez tries to improve his position but Max has taken his back! Max has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Chavez tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Max pushes Chavez away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
