Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brad Eardley!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Eardley throws out the jab.
Eardley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steele moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Steele with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Steele scores with a shot to the body.
Eardley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Eardley tries to get set, Steele tries to push him back and clinch up but Eardley manages to avoid the attempt.
Nice uppercut lands for Eardley. That snapped Steele's head back.
Brad Eardley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steele lands a slapping body shot.
Steele scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Steele wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steele throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Eardley dives in and scores a takedown into Steele's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steele wants to get back to his feet but Eardley passes into half guard.

Steele lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Steele desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Eardley is looking to advance position but Steele won't allow it.

Steele pushes Eardley off looking to stand but Eardley dives back in and keeps control.
Eardley frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Steele tries to hold on but Eardley postures up.
Steele tries to reverse the position but Eardley maintains control.
Steele is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Steele is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Eardley controlling his opponent.
Steele is in all sorts of trouble here.
Eardley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Steele looks a forlorn figure.

Eardley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Eardley looking for a guillotine from mount but Steele is having none of it.
Steele wants to hold on but Eardley pushes him away.
Steele flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Steele is trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steele really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Eardley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steele tries to lock up and control but Eardley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Eardley content just to control the position here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eardley avoids the attempt from Steele to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eardley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Steele is bucking up trying to escape but Eardley cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Eardley lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Eardley unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Steele wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Eardley celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
