Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valenti drives through and clinches with Perkins against the cage.
Perkins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Perkins tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Valenti's elbow.
Perkins looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Valenti jumps guard but Perkins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Valenti drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Valenti wants to take the fight to the mat but Perkins manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Valenti. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Valenti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Valenti looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Valenti dives in and scores a takedown into Perkins 's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valenti is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Valenti lands a couple of digs.
Perkins is trying to control the position but Valenti postures up.

Valenti decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Valenti misses with a straight right.

Valenti drives through with a takedown into guard.
Valenti might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Valenti stands up from Perkins 's guard - Valenti perhaps looking for a knockout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Valenti or perhaps it was just good defense by Perkins , which made it look bad.

Valenti decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Perkins pushes Valenti off but Valenti dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Valenti wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perkins , who protects the arm well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valenti working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Valenti happy to just control the position for now.

Valenti is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Perkins is trying to escape and Valenti transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Perkins is forced to tap! Nice work there by Valenti! Very nice indeed!
