Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Barry Reaves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaves stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Franco takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Reaves cracks Franco with a right hand to the side of the head.
Franco leaves Reaves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A big right from Reaves misses.
Franco pushes Reaves up against the cage in a clinch.
Reaves tries to work over Franco's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Reaves is trying to break free.
Franco is trying to trip Reaves. He has hold of a leg but Reaves is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Franco persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Franco drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Franco jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Franco slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Franco stands up over Reaves, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Reaves working for a triangle but Franco defends it easily.
Reaves is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Franco thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Reaves had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Franco defends it easily.
Reaves is looking for a triangle but Franco pushes his legs off easily.
Reaves keeping moving, preventing Franco from controlling successfully.
Franco passes Reaves's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Reaves is defending against the submission attempts here by Franco.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Franco connects with a nice short shot to Reaves's temple.
Franco scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Franco seems to be working for a kimura but Reaves defends the submission attempt.

Reaves wants to control but Franco is keeping busy.

Reaves looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Franco is defending well. Reaves quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Franco has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Reaves celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
