Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Williams Trujillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Reis!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trujillo shoots in and drives through. Reis sprawls well.
Reis unleashes a big counter combination but Trujillo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Trujillo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Trujillo backs off Reis throws a huge counter combo but Trujillo manages to avoid it all.
Trujillo darts in looking for a takedown but Reis gets double underhooks and turns Trujillo into the cage.
Reis is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Reis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Trujillo.
Reis unleashes a big counter combination but Trujillo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Trujillo is looking to clinch but Reis is avoiding it.
Nice takedown defense from Reis. No joy for Trujillo on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Williams Trujillo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trujillo throws a push kick but Reis slaps the foot to one side.
Reis is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Trujillo drives through and clinches with Reis against the cage.

Trujillo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Reis looks to land a combination. Trujillo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Williams Trujillo has been cut.
Trujillo tries to clinch up.
A punch combination from Reis misses.
A head kick misses from Trujillo.
As Trujillo backs off Reis throws a huge counter combo but Trujillo manages to avoid it all.

Trujillo pushes Reis up against the cage in a clinch.
Trujillo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Trujillo effectively controlling the action here.
Trujillo is trying to pull guard but Reis turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Trujillo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Trujillo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reis swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Despite the aggression on Reis's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Trujillo goes for a double leg but Reis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Reis continues to drive forward.
Trujillo wants to clinch.
Williams Trujillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Despite the aggression on Reis's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Trujillo throws a sloppy head kick and Reis moves out of range easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trujillo.
Reis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Trujillo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Trujillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reis is fending him off so far but Trujillo persists. Nope, Reis circles away and we're back to standing.
Reis throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Trujillo throws a quick counter head kick but Reis was just out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Trujillo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reis lands with a right and another and another! Trujillo is in big trouble! Reis lands again and this time it's lights out for Trujillo! A quality knockout there for Reis.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fabio Reis!
