Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Foster Clemons (ranked 24939 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Mcleod (ranked 7868 p4p, 0 weight class). Gregor Mcleod has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Foster Clemons's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Foster Clemons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gregor Mcleod!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcleod closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Clemons quickly recovers to half guard.

Mcleod seems to be looking for submissions.
Mcleod tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Clemons.
Clemons is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Clemons pushes Mcleod off looking to stand but Mcleod dives back in and keeps control.
Clemons works his way to full guard. Good work.
Clemons wants to sweep here but Mcleod controlling him for the moment.
Mcleod postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mcleod wants to control from the top but Clemons keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clemons wants to stand and escape but Mcleod is having none of it.
Clemons is pulling down on Mcleod's head to control his posture.
Mcleod looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Clemons has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mcleod lands a couple of digs.
Clemons wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mcleod drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mcleod jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Clemons tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clemons is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mcleod stuffs the takedown attempt from Clemons. Clemons gets slowly back to his feet.
Clemons misses with a takedown attempt - Mcleod sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mcleod misses with a body shot
and Clemons connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Clemons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mcleod's waist but Mcleod gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clemons off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Foster Clemons. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Clemons gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mcleod must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mcleod trying to control the position from guard on top but Clemons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mcleod shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mcleod was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Clemons is trying to control Mcleod's posture but Mcleod avoids it.
Mcleod trying to control the action but Clemons is working from the bottom.
Clemons manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Clemons controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mcleod landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Mcleod lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gregor Mcleod dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mcleod is looking to take a break and control but Clemons is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcleod can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mcleod wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Clemons is now in half guard.

Clemons is nestled in close to Mcleod, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Gregor Mcleod is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Clemons thows a huge punch but Mcleod dodges it nicely.

Foster Clemons showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mcleod has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
