PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Ithamar (ranked 492 p4p, 63 weight class) and Tony Bison (ranked 1537 p4p, 194 weight class). Ithamar comes to the cage accompanied by Yamma Ensemble Psalms 104. Tony Bison will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ithamar shoots for a takedown but Bison saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
No luck for Ithamar with that takedown attempt.
Jab, jab by Bison - just one landing.
Ithamar goes for a double leg but Bison avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bison continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezekiel Ithamar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bison tries to land a front kick but Ithamar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bison cracks the inside of Ithamar's front leg.

Ithamar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ithamar is standing up over Bison. Bison looks to escape but Ithamar dives into side control.
Bison tries to improve position but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Ithamar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ithamar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ithamar has hold of Bison's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bison seems comfortable defending it but Ithamar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bison is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bison is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ithamar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
