Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OConnor dives in and scores a takedown into Filev's guard.
Filev is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
OConnor trying to land knees to the body.
OConnor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Filev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alexander Filev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Filev wants to clinch.
Filev closes this distance looking for a takedown but OConnor circles away.
OConnor appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
OConnor lands a nice looking body kick.
Filev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but OConnor swivels and escapes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
OConnor throws a head kick that misses.
OConnor shoots in looking for a takedown but Filev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing OConnor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Filev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

OConnor shoots in and bounces Filev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
OConnor wanted to stand there but Filev had control of the position.
OConnor wants to control from the top but Filev keeps moving.
Filev working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because OConnor has passed into half guard!

OConnor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
OConnor wants to work for an arm triangle but Filev is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Filev kicks off OConnor and gets to his feet.
OConnor misses with a wild combination.
A little jabbing left from Filev on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Filev connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed OConnor momentarily.

OConnor closes the distance and clinches.
OConnor has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Filev is trying to keep an underhook but OConnor manages to get the takedown into half guard.
OConnor slows the pace down in half guard.
Filev tries to roll over but OConnor keeps him under control.

OConnor is looking to take a break and control but Filev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
OConnor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Filev doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time OConnor.

OConnor is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Filev is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Filev wants to stand back up but OConnor manages to pass into side control.
OConnor tries to advance to mount but Filev denies him.
Filev throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Filev forces OConnor back against the cage and clinches.
OConnor has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Filev uses from the top position.
Filev tries to free his leg and advance position but OConnor is retaining full guard.
Filev wants to stand but OConnor has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Filev throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Filev is looking to work some ground and pound but OConnor has wrist control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Filev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Filev looking to sit in guard and control but OConnor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
OConnor is looking to stand up but Filev won't let him.
OConnor wants to control from the top but Filev keeps moving.
Filev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with OConnor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
OConnor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Filev escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. OConnor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Filev is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst OConnor is controlling him.
OConnor trying to control the position from guard on top but Filev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Filev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. OConnor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Filev is in OConnor's guard.
Filev is breathing heavily.
OConnor looking for a sweep. Not yet OConnor, not yet.
Filev looking to sit in guard and control but OConnor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

OConnor is looking to work some ground and pound but Filev has wrist control.
Filev is trying to keep OConnor in close.
Filev looking for submissions from the bottom but instead OConnor passes into half guard.

OConnor is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Filev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Filev wants to control but OConnor postures up.
Filev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
OConnor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Filev, who protects the arm well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and OConnor moves into the clinch.
Filev wants a takedown.
OConnor drags the fight down to the ground.
OConnor is looking to stand up but Filev isn't so interested in that idea.
OConnor pulls Filev in to control the position.

OConnor controls Filev momentarily but Filev frees himself.

OConnor looking for a triangle here. Filev is fighting it but it looks tight! OConnor pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Filev is tapping out - this one is all over!
