Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between AJ Daniels (ranked 3622 p4p, 296 weight class) and Minkki Jakku (ranked 5895 p4p, 414 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakku will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jakku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daniels's waist but Daniels gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jakku off to one side.

Jakku closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Daniels did well to prevent Jakku getting side control.

Jakku is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Daniels defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jakku shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Jakku shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniels pinned against the cage. Daniels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
