Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kublai Setsen Shizu (ranked 5889 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Rocambole (ranked 6034 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leonard Rocambole!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Setsen Shizu gets tackled into the cage by Rocambole. Rocambole maintains the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Rocambole tries to work over Setsen Shizu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Setsen Shizu lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Leonard Rocambole has been cut.
Setsen Shizu lands a knee to the head.
Setsen Shizu utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Rocambole looks winded!

Setsen Shizu has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Rocambole goes down! Setsen Shizu pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!


Rocambole is rocked!
Rocambole should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Setsen Shizu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Setsen Shizu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rocambole seems to have recovered his senses.
Rocambole is not content to let Setsen Shizu control the position.
The ground and pound from Setsen Shizu seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Setsen Shizu wants to control but Rocambole is keeping him busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rocambole shoots in looking for a takedown but Setsen Shizu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rocambole's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rocambole shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Setsen Shizu pinned against the cage. Setsen Shizu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Setsen Shizu tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rocambole manages to circle out of the way.
Setsen Shizu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Setsen Shizu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rocambole.

Rocambole rushes Setsen Shizu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rocambole blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Setsen Shizu lands a knee to the head.
Setsen Shizu lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

That's time! Setsen Shizu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Setsen Shizu wants to control but Rocambole postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Rocambole throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Setsen Shizu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rocambole is in Setsen Shizu's guard.

Setsen Shizu tries to lock up and control but Rocambole gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Leonard Rocambole showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Rocambole has eaten all the pies!

Rocambole is trying to stick to Setsen Shizu's back but Setsen Shizu is turning into Rocambole. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Rocambole's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Setsen Shizu.

Let's hope that Rocambole has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
