The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azhiev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Cordolha's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Azhiev working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Azhiev is trying to get an arm triangle but Cordolha is defending well.
Azhiev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cordolha is pressing down on Azhiev's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Azhiev tries to free his leg and advance position but Cordolha is retaining full guard.

Azhiev drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Azhiev as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Cordolha screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Azhiev! Nice submission victory there!
