Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between William Ralph Dean (ranked 826 p4p, 109 weight class) and Rocky Baxter (ranked 1814 p4p, 226 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dean keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baxter .
Dean avoids the body shot from Baxter .
Baxter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Baxter scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Dean swings for the body but Baxter moves out of range.
Dean scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Rocky Baxter has been cut.
Baxter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Baxter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dean stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Dean throws a body shot but no joy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dean misses with an uppercut. Baxter saw that one coming.

Baxter stuns Dean with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Dean throws a shot from downtown. Baxter moves away and avoids it.
Baxter swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dean.
Baxter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Baxter tries to clinch up.
Baxter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dean. That did some damage!
A kick lands to the mid section there for Baxter .
Dean fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

As Dean backs off Baxter throws a huge counter combo but Dean manages to avoid it all.
Baxter connects with a leg kick. Dean looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Dean is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Baxter .
Dean lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baxter circles away quickly and effectively.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sloppy strikes from Dean. Those never looked like landing.
Baxter fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dean on the side of the head.
Baxter lands the left hand.
Baxter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dean.

Dean misses with a hook. Baxter ducked under it nicely.

A thudding body kick lands there by Baxter !
The fighters circling - Dean throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A chopping leg kick lands by Baxter .
Dean circles away from the clinch attempt.

Baxter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Dean just misses with a punch to the body.
Dean on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Baxter has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Dean walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Baxter pushes Dean up against the cage in a clinch.

Dean fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Dean digs a right hand underneath Baxter 's ribcage. Baxter let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Baxter tries to break free but Dean pushes him back against the cage.

Baxter 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Dean lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Nice body punch from Dean - that landed with a thud.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dean creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Baxter walks into a stiff left hand from Dean.

Baxter is rocked!
Dean drops Baxter with a straight right hand, right on the button! Dean follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
