Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montavious Jordan (ranked 23225 p4p, 746 weight class) and Jamison Cassidy (ranked 3045 p4p, 402 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan misses with a takedown
and Cassidy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Montavious Jordan has been cut.
Cassidy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jordan takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Jordan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cassidy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jordan is aware though and is defending well.

Jordan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cassidy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jordan has managed to get both his arms back between Cassidy's legs - danger averted.

Jordan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cassidy is just riding it out for now. Jordan eventually gives up the hold.

Jordan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cassidy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jordan somewhat.

Cassidy lands with an uppercut that bounces Jordan off the cage and back into range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jordan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jordan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jordan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cassidy as he avoids it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Cassidy! But no joy.

Cassidy lands a slapping body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cassidy ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jordan is looking to clinch but Cassidy is avoiding it.
Jamison Cassidy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cassidy connects with a single shot there.

Montavious Jordan's cut is getting worse.
Jordan shoots in for a takedown but Cassidy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cassidy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cassidy digs a good body shot into Jordan's ribs.
Jordan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cassidy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Cassidy circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Jordan to the canvas! Jordan doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Cassidy keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
