Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Warley Alvez (ranked 3242 p4p, 380 weight class) and Simple Jack (ranked 3532 p4p, 409 weight class). Alvez's entrance music is NYSNC`-POP. A fine choice. Simple Jack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Jack does no damage.
Alvez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Alvez jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Alvez looks to clinch
and Jack connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alvez lands an overhand right.

It looks like Simple Jack has been cut.
Alvez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A cross from Jack lands.
Alvez throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Jack connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alvez throws a head kick but Jack moves out of range.
Alvez wants to clinch.
Jack circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jack counters with a nice uppercut.
Alvez tries to close the distance and clinch but Jack swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alvez throws a lazy right hand but Jack sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Warley Alvez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvez misses with a left hand
and Jack counters with a nice leg kick.
Jack takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Alvez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jack connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jack paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jack swats away the attempt to clinch by Alvez.
Alvez fails in his attempt to clinch.

Jack drops Alvez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alvez looks back up at him and smiles so Jack waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Alvez is rocked!
Jack is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Alvez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jack feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Alvez sprawling to the canvas! Alvez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jack finish him?!
Oh Alvez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alvez moves to clinch but Jack breaks away
and Jack counters with a huge right that knocks Alvez out cold! Jack is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Simple Jack!
After the fight, Simple Jack was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
