Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralph McGuire Jr (ranked 1552 p4p, 168 weight class) and Conrad Hauser (ranked 2134 p4p, 228 weight class). McGuire Jr comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Petty - I Won't Back Down. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hauser tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGuire Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Hauser.
Hauser has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McGuire Jr is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McGuire Jr lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hauser has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hauser and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hauser! But no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hauser. McGuire Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hauser goes for a double leg but McGuire Jr avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGuire Jr continues to drive forward.

Hauser wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hauser feints and then cracks McGuire Jr's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McGuire Jr down.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hauser or perhaps it was just good defense by McGuire Jr, which made it look bad.

McGuire Jr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A nice inside leg kick there by Hauser. That's going to slow McGuire Jr down.

McGuire Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hauser's guard.
Hauser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGuire Jr's guard.

McGuire Jr wants to sweep but no luck.

Hauser wants to get up but he can't break McGuire Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hauser drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hauser jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McGuire Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hauser is trying to maintain the position but McGuire Jr is very close to passing his half guard.

I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
