Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Jones (ranked 1188 p4p, 161 weight class) and Lee Sin (ranked 890 p4p, 122 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jones might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Quando Quando Quando. Sin has chosen Original Nuttah as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sin thinking.
Jones throws an off balance right hand
and Sin counters with a stiff right hand.
Sin misses with a looping right.
Jones swings for the body but Sin moves out of range.
Jones moves out of range as Sin strikes.
Jones throws a sloppy body shot
and Sin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sin looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range.

Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sin sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Jones drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Sin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sin throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.

Sin rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sin lands with a light punch inside.
Sin tries to throw a body punch but Jones avoids it by throwing Sin back against the cage.
Sin misses with the head strike.
I was talking to Jones's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Sin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jones backwards.

Sin digs a right hand underneath Jones's ribcage. Jones let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Jones throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Jones has Sin pushed against the cage.
Sin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sin misses with a body punch.
Sin working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Sin unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Jones! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Sin is unloading with more strikes now! Jones drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
